It is very important to keep accurate records of your mortgage.

You can use a computer program to manage your mortgage, or you can keep records manually.

You can also download our FREE Microsoft Excel® Mortgage Accounting spreadsheet. it automatically calculates late payments, plus handles escrowing for tax and insurance.

For a view of what this spreadsheet looks like, click sample of mortgage accounting spreadsheet. NOTE, due to the way Excel publishes to the Internet, part of the instructions and wording cannot be seen. They ARE completely visible on the actual spreadsheet.

Our Microsoft Excel compatible free real estate and mortgage spreadsheets are downloaded as self-extracting compressed files. Make a note of where you download them. They will decompress automatically into ".xls" Excel files when you double-click on them. Double-click on the ".xls" file and it will open up for use. You will see a warning when you click to download the file. All our spreadsheets were created by us without the addition of a virus.
(Technical note. We are required to do this because of the tight integration between Internet Explorer and Excel.) We do not use macros and all of these spreadsheets have been used by us without any problem.

You may download from our site an Excel 97 compatible Spreadsheet that is shareware. It does not expire but the author has done a great job, and it's well worth the small registration fee.
